About Liberty Way Farm
Located at 1050 Hwy. 5, Dundas, Ontario, Canada, Liberty Way Farm is today a 21-acre working farm with over 30 varieties of organic vegetables, herbs, fruits, and nut trees.
Liberty Way Farm is based on the sound principles of regenerative agriculture using permaculture design and holistic management, conserving natural resources, limiting the carbon footprint, growing, hiring and eating locally grown and prepared foods, and trying to make the world a better place to live.
How We Got Started
Liberty Way Farm was created to meet the growing needs of a community that is concerned about what they eat and feed their children.
This is a community that is tired of ‘fresh’ tomatoes bought at the local grocery store. When more than likely the “fresh” tomatoes were picked while still unripe, shipped 3,000 miles over several days/weeks, and then artificially “ripened” using ethylene gas, thus robbing it of practically all of its nutritional value.
Simply put; healthy soils, functional communities, thriving ecosystems, and respectful relationships are things we all want.
As the basis of civilization, agriculture must play a large part in the restoration of these foundational elements.
Liberty Way Farm uses only natural and sustainable farming methods, free from chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
Natural foods and natural farming methods leave a smaller carbon footprint while simultaneously improving the health of its customers and its local community.
